Somewhere near Cambodia
Aboard the amphibious assault carrier Forbidden Fate
Dr Moreau is a literal genius. He knows this not only because Lord Bull tells him so, but because he knows it. He looks over the army that is forming in the lower decks of the Forbidden Fate. Canios warriors, Ursines, and Felinoids. Lord Bull is ramping things up. His Anthro Warriors are becoming more and more successful. So far, the losses have been so minimal, the good Doctor was ecstatic. But there was a blunder in the sixteenth batch that killed off eighty six individuals. Lord Bull had them shredded and used them as chum. The great whites that followed the boat did not know what hit them when the harpoons began. Lord Bull had three of the large beasts snared and samples taken. Now the Doctor was staring at his work, watching the DNA and his formula merge together. He was confident that by the end of the day, Lord Bull would have a shark man. What would he call them? Sharkmen? Selachi? Chordata? Hmm, never really thought about it till now. Doesn’t matter, the DNA manipulation has to take if this is going to work. Making an amphibious sharkman isn't as easy as it sounds.
Lockhart walks down by himself and looks out over the growing army. His smile is obvious, even if it is hideous.
“Have you begun work on my new body?”
The good Doctor turns to him.
“I am currently pursuing through the DNA catalog to see what I will need. Your request is…unusual, but not impossible.”
Lockhart nods.
“Lord Bull wants me to be the general of this army. I feel I need a different body. Something more fitting my position.”
Dr. Moreau smiles and nods.
“Oh yes it will be glorious. And just as dangerous as your current one, maybe even more so. Imagine what you could do to the walker you are going to face this week.”
“Imagine what I could do to their entire family.”
The Dr and Lockhart share a laugh.
“Yes, good times are coming my friend. Our Lord is a good lord and has provided so much for us, we must give back.”
Lockhart nods, something solid and heavy and then smiles as he turners and heads back up. The DR. smiles.
“Oh yes, we will be something else won’t we.”
