Jabberwock Securities, a private paramilitary company that has been common characterized as barely legitimized mercenaries, was founded in 2007 and rose to prominence in the wake of Blackwater’s tarnished handlings in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jabberwock has been contracted extensively to crush the 2019 Portland Riots, and there are allegations of involvement in Venezuela, Crimea, and Hong Kong.
Von Brandt is a dour, cruel man who is deadly competent at his job. Charged with securing the Luxor and protecting his employer from any “dissatisfied participants”, he is a master of CQC who relishes the opportunity to try his hand against “the world’s best”. He almost never leaves the grounds of the hotel, tasking his men to secure the city’s perimeter and general stability while he acts personally as Duke’s bodyguard. Jabberwock has been explicitly forbidden from killing any participants, but riot control is clearly their forte.
